Product Description

ThermoWave™ expansion vessels are specially designed for use in potable water heating applications.

Many homes and buildings have potable water heating systems to provide hot water for washing, cooking, bathing, etc. As water is heated, it also expands, and this expansion raises system pressure and can cause serious damage.

Most systems use a relief valve that is installed to relieve the volume of water that has expanded, thus preventing the system from exceeding the maximum operating pressure. Unfortunately, this wastes energy, as the volume referring to the hot water that has been relieved will have to be replaced and heated up again. In order to accommodate water expansion in a safe and energy-saving manner, GWS offers ThermoWave™ series expansion vessels. ThermoWave™ vessels perform their function safely, absorbing the expanded volume, avoiding wasted water and energy, in addition to maintaining the operating pressure of the system at safe levels.

The ThermoWave™ series utilizes a high grade chlorine butyl diaphragm and virgin polypropylene liner ensuring your water is potable.
