Product Description
WEG MPW series motor-breakers are the compact solution for starting and protecting electric motors up to 100 A. They have a high breaking capacity, allowing their use even in installations with a high level of short-circuit current. They ensure total protection for the electrical circuit and the motor through their thermal (adjustable for protection against overloads and equipped with a differential mechanism with sensitivity to phase loss) and magnetic (calibrated for protection against short circuits) triggers.
They have versions activated via buttons (MPW12/18) or via rotary activation ( MPW40 /80/100) and trip indication (Trip) (only for rotary handle), allowing the operator to view the state of the breaker. The circuit breakers can be padlocked in the "off" position, thus ensuring safety during maintenance.
Principais Características
Magnetic triggers: through the magnetic trigger, the MPW's offer protection against installation and motor short circuits, with fixed triggering at 13 times the maximum current of the motor-breaker adjustment range.
Thermal trigger: the thermal trigger is adjustable and is responsible for protection against overload and sensitivity against phase failure of the installation and the motor, in accordance with IEC60947-4-1, tripping class 10.
Specification and setting: for the correct specification of MPW motor-circuit breakers, it is important to make sure of the service and nominal currents of the motor to be protected. The current setting on the motor-circuit breaker must be in accordance with the service current in order to obtain all of its protections.
The MPW can be installed through quick fixing on a 35mm DIN rail or with screw fixing through the PLMP adapter.
