Product Description
Active oxygen-based granulated disinfectant compound for the disinfection and maintenance of pool water, in the Oxipool treatment. Chlorine free.
Ideal for: Swimming pools where children or people allergic to chlorine bathe.
Added value: Non-chlorinated product. Does not cause unpleasant odors or irritate the eyes. A strong oxidation is produced capable of eliminating existing organic matter and microorganisms. Water treated with oxygen does not dry out your skin or hair. Active oxygen does not combine with organic nitrogen, unlike chlorine, which forms chloramines (combined chlorine) which causes eye irritation.
Directions for use: Directly distribute the required dose of product evenly over the entire surface of the pool. The addition of the product should preferably be carried out at dusk and without the presence of bathers in the water.
Initial dose: Add 20 g of product per m3 of water. Maintenance dose: Add 10 g of product per m3 of water once a week. For the treatment to work properly, the action of this product must be supplemented by adding oxygen to the CTX-540 AlgaStop water.

Active Oxygen in Pool Water
Active oxygen, also known as oxygen-based oxidizers, has emerged as a popular alternative to traditional chlorine-based pool disinfectants. With its ability to effectively sanitize pool water while being gentle on the skin and eyes, active oxygen offers a promising solution for pool owners looking for a more health-conscious and environmentally friendly approach to pool maintenance. . It refers to the use of oxygen compounds, such as hydrogen peroxide, as a disinfectant and oxidizing agent in pool water. Unlike chlorine, active oxygen does not produce harmful chloramines, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly option for pool maintenance.
Development of Active Oxygen in Swimming Pool Maintenance
The use of active oxygen in pool maintenance has gained momentum in recent years as more people look for alternative sanitation methods. Historically, active oxygen has been used in medical and industrial settings for its powerful disinfectant properties. However, its application in the swimming pool industry has gained traction due to its ability to effectively eliminate bacteria and algae without the negative side effects of chlorine. With continued research and technological advancements, active oxygen products have become increasingly efficient and easier to use.
Gentle on skin and eyes
One of the significant advantages of using active oxygen in pool maintenance is its gentle nature. Unlike chlorine, active oxygen does not cause skin irritation or eye redness. This means that swimmers, especially those with sensitive skin, can enjoy a dip in the pool without the discomfort normally associated with chlorine-treated water.
Effective Bacteria and Algae Control
Active oxygen is a highly effective disinfectant that efficiently eliminates bacteria, viruses and algae from pool water. Its oxidizing properties help break down organic contaminants, ensuring the pool remains clean and safe for swimming. Additionally, active oxygen has a residual effect, meaning it continues to sanitize the water even after the initial application, providing long-lasting protection against harmful microbes.
No aggressive chemical odors
Say goodbye to the unbearable smell of chlorine! Active oxygen does not produce the strong chemical odors typically associated with traditional pool disinfectants. This not only improves the overall swimming experience, but also eliminates the need for excessive ventilation and reduces the risk of respiratory distress.
