Exceptionally fine filtration
The vitreous filter bed is a composite of glass crystals that allows for extremely fine filtration and prevents the formation of biofilm (bacterial growth) on the filter.

The glass filtering bed is adapted to be used in any type of media filter (sand filters).
The glass filter bed is available in 2 granulometries (coarse and fine) that must be used together in the filter.

More effective than the sand commonly used, the glass filter bed allows a filtering capacity of less than 20 μm compared to a sand filter that amounts to around 50 μm.
Water circulates easily through the filter, and cleaning is faster and more effective.

Economical and environmentally friendly
We save up to 16,000 liters of water per year.
Compared to sand, the glass filter bed saves up to 75% on water consumption during filter washing. This is due to the natural absorption capacity of glass which allows for "bulk" filtration (compared to "surface" filtration with normal sand). When washing the filter, the glass particles separate more easily and therefore the washing process is shorter.
