Product Description
Automatic air vents perform the function of eliminating, without the need to intervene manually, the air that accumulates inside the circuits of air conditioning installations.
In this way, the emergence of negative phenomena that could impair the durability and performance of the thermal installation is avoided, such as:
- corrosive processes due to oxygen;
- air pockets located in the radiators;
- cavitation phenomena in circulators.

Operation principle
The accumulation of air bubbles in the valve body causes the float to fall and, consequently, the obturator to open. This phenomenon and the correct functioning of the valve are only guaranteed when the water pressure remains below the maximum discharge pressure.
constructive particularities
Hygroscopic lid For all MINICAL® and VALCAL® series a hygroscopic safety lid is available. The operating principle is based on the property of the cellulose fiber disks, which form the sealing cartridge. These discs increase their volume by 50% the moment they come into contact with water, thus closing the valve. This prevents possible damage in case of water leaks.
